Health Professional Scholarship
Chair: Laurie Kuntz (1985)
• Applicant must be a direct relative of someone who served in the Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.
• Must be used for training in the field of a health professional. This includes, nursing, physical therapy, dental assistant, pharmacy technician, audiologist, chiropractor, EMT, home healthcare aide, etc.
This was previously called the PPP Nursing scholarship. However, a few years ago the scholarship was broadened to include other fields in healthcare. The scholarship is open to any age. High school graduates moving to the healthcare field as well as non-traditional students returning to school.
