Due to the cancellation of Fall Conferences, committee information will be distributed via electronically. This method will allow Department to save money on the cost of printing and mailing the information to all the Units. Please forward the attached information regarding National Security, Poppy, Legislative and VA&R to the Units.
We understand that some Units do not utilize technology, therefore, a Unit can request the traditional hard copies of the Fall Conference information. To request a traditional Fall Conference packet, please contact Terry at Department Headquarters.

This past year has been so hard and rough on all of us. Not being able to meet and get together. I pray that you all are safe and well. I have attached the Plan of action for the Poppy Projects, and the Poppy order form, all orders need to be into Department before Dec 13th. I'm excited to see what our National Chairman has planned for this year. As I receive information from Beth I will pass it along. You never know we may have another contest.

Hello Auxiliary Family. Here are some ideas for you regarding VA&R. Please contact your local VA if you are interested in volunteering at this time since there are strict guidelines due to Covid.
- Red Coat Ambassador: What exactly is a VA Red Coat Ambassador volunteer? This is a program that the American Legion Auxiliary has partnered with the VA. Red Coat Ambassadors are volunteers, of Veterans, family of Veterans, or anyone who just wants to give back to our wonderful veterans. These volunteers greet people as they come into VA centers and assist them to find the locations they need to be. This assistance can be giving directions on how to get to their appointments to walking them to the place they need to be.Donate to the VA gift shop. Please keep an eye out for emails in the coming months with more information regarding this wonderful program.
- Volunteer at VA centers, nursing homes where our Veterans and their families are now living. See if you can do an ice cream social or just go visit with the residents. Donate items such as books, crosswords, word search, adult coloring books. Also, children books and coloring books are needed for the waiting rooms.
- Donations are extremely appreciated at this time
